Fitness Friday # 1 : Full Body Workout Plan

Happy Friday Everyone. As I am currently on Detox Cleanse Challenge, I am also working out 5-6 times a week. As part of this challenge I am going through lot of workout plans and modifying them according to my ease. I do all of my workouts from home, so I try to look and search for those workouts which can be done from the comfort of home with less / no equipment. From this Friday I will be starting a new post Fitness Friday with a new workout plan.

Coming to today’s workout as the title says it’s a “Full Body Workout”. I did this on Wednesday for 3 rounds and my arms are still aching while I am typing this. This is one serious and hardcore workout.

Note: Please refer to youtube for correct form and posture for all the workouts you don’t know. Will try to link it up from next time.

What are your weekend plans??  I will be deep cleaning and sorting the left over unopened boxes on Saturday. Sunday it’s a Ganesh Chaturthi Festival. So will be busy doing puja and preparing dishes. Will post in detail on Monday.

Have a great weekend and let me know your experience about this full body workout.

MIMM # 4 : Mother’s Day Weekend Recap

How are you all doing? I have been so busy the past week that I hardly had time to blog. So took a break so I can concentrate on the work. Hope all the awesome and the beautiful mothers celebrated yesterday with their family, friends and loved ones. I too had a marvelous weekend.

Friday evening we went for a friend’s baby shower and made some new friends too. There was lot of yummy food but as I am currently doing the Summer Shred hosted by Bobbi Mccormik, I didn’t taste most of the food. During the shred we should cut any sort of sugar, fried food, junk food. So I had some chickpeas curry, whole wheat bread and fruit salad ( for dessert).

Saturday was marvelous as I got to finish grocery shopping, much required shoe shopping ( I bought 3 pair of shoes one pair of pump, 2 pair of sandalsSmile). Perfect gift for mother’s day. In the evening we met our family friends and had a great time with them.

Sunday it was my hubby birthday too. So we got to celebrate both Mother’s Day and his birthday. Being the awesome husband, he prepared breakfast and lunch. In the evening we went to the mountains as the temperature was in 80’s. We ended the night  by having dinner at an Italian restaurant. The dinner was a disappointment as the dishes were bland and the service was horrible. Overall we had a great time and that’s what matters the most.

Mothers_Day mountains

Today starts the 3rd week of the #SummerShred13. I feel so great of myself that I could finally see some changes in myself both physically and mentally. I have been working out for at least 5 days a week and following the plan with my own variations. Also I am learning to control my portions a lot which is a great achievement for me.

Finally I completed reading a book this weekend. “Can you keep a secretBy Sophie Kinsella. Its about Emma, a junior marketing assistant and she pours out all her inner secrets to a stranger on a turbulent plane as she is a nervous flyer and thinks she is going to die. Its so romantic and also refreshingly witty. Please read this book if you haven’t already read it.

Currently I am reading the other book by Sophie Kinsella i.e. The Undomestic Goddess which is about an attorney who makes a mistake and loses her job and ends as a housekeeper. I am currently hooked to this book and hope its as interesting as the previous one.

Today morning I weighed myself and I was up by 2 pounds, this may be due to muscle build (or due to my bad snacking??). No idea, so decided to cut down sugar, unnecessary snacking, processed foods for this week and check back again on next Monday if this helps.
