How are you all doing? I have been so busy the past week that I hardly had time to blog. So took a break so I can concentrate on the work. Hope all the awesome and the beautiful mothers celebrated yesterday with their family, friends and loved ones. I too had a marvelous weekend.
Friday evening we went for a friend’s baby shower and made some new friends too. There was lot of yummy food but as I am currently doing the Summer Shred hosted by Bobbi Mccormik, I didn’t taste most of the food. During the shred we should cut any sort of sugar, fried food, junk food. So I had some chickpeas curry, whole wheat bread and fruit salad ( for dessert).
Saturday was marvelous as I got to finish grocery shopping, much required shoe shopping ( I bought 3 pair of shoes one pair of pump, 2 pair of sandals). Perfect gift for mother’s day. In the evening we met our family friends and had a great time with them.
Sunday it was my hubby birthday too. So we got to celebrate both Mother’s Day and his birthday. Being the awesome husband, he prepared breakfast and lunch. In the evening we went to the mountains as the temperature was in 80’s. We ended the night by having dinner at an Italian restaurant. The dinner was a disappointment as the dishes were bland and the service was horrible. Overall we had a great time and that’s what matters the most.
Today starts the 3rd week of the #SummerShred13. I feel so great of myself that I could finally see some changes in myself both physically and mentally. I have been working out for at least 5 days a week and following the plan with my own variations. Also I am learning to control my portions a lot which is a great achievement for me.
Finally I completed reading a book this weekend. “Can you keep a secret” By Sophie Kinsella. Its about Emma, a junior marketing assistant and she pours out all her inner secrets to a stranger on a turbulent plane as she is a nervous flyer and thinks she is going to die. Its so romantic and also refreshingly witty. Please read this book if you haven’t already read it.
Currently I am reading the other book by Sophie Kinsella i.e. The Undomestic Goddess which is about an attorney who makes a mistake and loses her job and ends as a housekeeper. I am currently hooked to this book and hope its as interesting as the previous one.
